Souris Valley Mental Health Hospital

Souris Valley Mental Health Hospital also called the Souris Valley Extended Care Centre was a public hospital in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. Originally called the Weyburn Mental Hospital when opened in 1921, it was the largest building in The British Commonwealth and was considered on the cutting edge of experimental treatments for people with mental disabilities. It is located in the south-southeastern part of the province, on the United States border. The most populous community in this division is Weyburn. Weyburn Security Bank Building

The Weyburn Security Bank Building (also referred to as the Imperial Bank of Canada Building) is located at 76 - 3rd Street in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Canada and is a two-storey building with a glazed terracotta façade. The Minneapolis-based architectural firm of Long, Lamoureux and Long designed the building in a Classical Revival and Chicago School that was more representative of banks in the Western US. The building is a designated a Provincial Heritage Property.

Weyburn

Weyburn is the ninth-largest city in southeastern Saskatchewan, Canada. It is located on the Souris River 110 kilometres southeast of the provincial capital of Regina and is 70 km north of the border with the United States. The name is reputedly a corruption of the Scottish "wee burn," referring to a small creek. The city is surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Weyburn No. 67.
