Qincheng Prison
Qincheng Prison is a maximum-security prison located in the Changping District, Beijing in the People's Republic of China, near Xiaotangshan. The prison was built in 1958 with aid from the Soviet Union and it is the only prison belonging to the Ministry of Public Security. The Ministry of Justice operates other prisons. The majority of inmates are political prisoners, among them participants in the Chinese democracy movement and Tiananmen Square protests of 1989.

The Triathlon competitions at the 2008 Summer Olympics, in Beijing, were held on Monday, August 18 (women) and Tuesday, August 19 (men), on the Triathlon Venue at the Ming Tomb Reservoir in Shisanling. Each competitor started the event with a 1,500 metres swim course, followed by a 40 kilometres road bicycle race and finished with a 10 kilometres road run. Both leg transitions (swimming—cycling and cycling—running) were performed on a special transition area, under judge's scrutiny.

Chinese Aviation Museum
The Chinese Aviation Museum, is also sometimes referred to as Datangshan due to its location adjacent to the mountain of the same name. The museum was first opened to the public on 11 November 1989, to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Liberation Army Air Force.
