Mutianyu
Mutianyu is a section of the Great Wall of China located in Huairou County 70 km northeast of central Beijing. The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall is connected with Jiankou in the west and Lianhuachi in the east. As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs.

Hongluo Temple
The Hongluo Temple is one of the largest and most extensive Buddhist temples located in northern Beijing. It was first established during the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD), however it was rebuilt many times later, notably during the Ming Dynasty. The temple is located at the southern foot of the Hongluo Mountain, and covers an area of 7 hectares (17 acres). Its name, Hongluo Temple is also translated as Red Shells Temple.
