Jiulong River

The Jiulong River or Jiulong Jiang is the largest river in southern Fujian, and the second largest in the province. Like all Fujian rivers but one, it flows into the Taiwan Strait. With a length of 258 kilometres and a basin of 14,700 square kilometres, its furthest origin—the north branch beixi (北溪)-- is within the municipality of Longyan; the west branch xixi (西溪), almost as long, flows from Zhangzhou's Pinghe County.

Chaoyang, Fujian

Chaoyang is a town in central Longwen District, Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, People's Republic of China. It is located about 7 kilometres east of downtown Zhangzhou and lies in the vicinity of the Xiazhang Expressway (厦漳高速公路), connecting Zhangzhou with Xiamen.

Zhangzhou Railway Station

Zhangzhou Railway Station is the main train station of Zhangzhou metropolitan area. It is located in Hongtang Village (洪塘村) of Longhai City, about 10 km south of downtown Zhangzhou. It is located on the common section of the Longxia Railway (Longyan-Xiamen; opened in mid-2012) and the Xiashen Railway (Xiamen-Shenzhen Railway; planned to open at the end of 2012 or in 2013).

Xiamen International School

Xiamen International School (XIS) is a private, international school located in Xiamen, China. The school was established in August 1997 and is located in the southern coast of China in Fujian Province, and is considered the most prestigious bilingual school there. XIS was the first international school to be established in Fujian Province by the Ministry of Education.

Longhai City

Longhai is a county-level city within the prefecture-level city of Zhangzhou, in the south of Fujian province, People's Republic of China. Longhai comprises territory on both banks of the lower Jiulong River, although most of its area is on the right (southern) bank. The left bank yields to Xiamen before reaching the sea, the right bank becomes the south shore of Xiamen Bay and is home to the Zhangzhou Gang tariff-free industrial export zone, in Longhai's Gangwei Town.
