Quanzhou County

Quanzhou County is a county of Guangxi, China. It is under the administration of Guilin city. Quanzhou is the biggest county in Guilin both in size and in population, and is the northeastern most corner of Guangxi. The dialect of here belongs to the Xiang Chinese. Historically Quanzhou was under the administration of Hunan Province. It was only after Ming Dynasty (1368CE -1644CE) that it was aparted from Hunan into Guangxi.

Yuecheng Mountains

The Yuecheng Mountains, also known as Lǎo Shān Jiè (老山界), are a range of peaks that lie on the border between Hunan Province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. Part of the Nan Mountains, the range runs from the northeast to the southwest and contains the 2,142 metres Kitten Mountain, the highest peak in Guangxi.

Lingqu Canal

The Lingqu Canal is located in Xing'an County, near Guilin, in the northeastern corner of Guangxi Province, China. It connects the Xiang River (which flows north into the Yangtze) with the Li River (which flows south into the Gui River and Xijiang), and thus is part of a historical waterway between the Yangtze and the Pearl River Delta. It was the first canal in the world to connect two river valleys and enabled ships to travel 2,000 kilometres from the latitude of Beijing to Hong Kong.
