Xinghai Square

Xinghai Square, or Xinghai Plaza, is a city square in Dalian, China. It is located to the north of Xinghai Bay. Its total area is 1.1 million m². Its name literally means "the Sea of Stars". Xinghai Square was built in 1994. Its center looks like a star, with one White Marble Cloud Huabiao (华表, 19.97 meters high), and 9 giant dings. For 10 days in late-July early-August, Xinghai Square holds the annual International Beer Festival.

CNR Dalian

CNR Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Company, often abbreviated as DLoco, is a company located in Dalian, Liaoning Province, China, producing railway locomotives, multiple units and diesel engines. The factory was established in 1899 during the period of construction of the Chinese Eastern Railway, as the Shahekou works, and was under Japanese control from 1905, and later part of the Manchukuo state.

Dalian People's Stadium

Dalian People's Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Dalian, China. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium was built in 1976 and has a capacity of 55,843. It is the home stadium of local football team Dalian Shide.

Dalian PX protest

The Dalian PX protest (locally called the 8-14 event; Chinese: 大连8·14抗议; pinyin: Dàlián 8·14 kàngyì) was a peaceful public protest in People's Square, Dalian, to protest against a PX chemical factory built in Dalian city. The protest took place in August 14, 2011.
