Pingdingshan massacre

The Pingdingshan massacre was a massacre committed by Imperial Japanese Army on September 16, 1932. On September 15, Anti-Japanese Red Spear militia, not from the area, but passing through Pingdingshan village, fired on Japanese soldiers and later attacked the Japanese garrison in the nearby industrial city of Fushun.

Fushun

Fushun is a prefecture level city in Liaoning province, China, about 45 km east of Shenyang, with a population of 2,138,090 inhabitants (2010 census) and a total area of 11,271 km, including 713 km of the city proper. Fushun is situated on the Hun River ("muddy river"). It was formerly called Fouchouen in French. It is one of the industrial and economic development hubs in Liaoning province.

Fushun War Criminals Management Centre

Fushun War Criminals Management Centre, also known as Liaodong No. 3 Prison or Liaoning No. 3 Prison was the site of the re-education of Manchuko, Kuomintang and Japanese prisoners of war, held by China from 1950 onwards. It was located in the Xinfu District, Fushun, Liaoning. Among the inmates were Puyi, the last emperor of China and former puppet emperor of Manchukuo, his younger brother Pujie and several other important World War II figures such as Xi Qia, Zang Shiyi and Zhang Jinghui.
