Thames Town

Thames Town is the English name for a new town in Songjiang District, about 30 kilometres from central Shanghai, China. It is named after the River Thames in England. The architecture is themed according to classic English market town styles. There are cobbled streets, Victorian terraces and corner shops. Thames Town is a part of Songjiang New City, in Songjiang District. The town is 4 kilometres from the Songjiang New City station on Shanghai Metro Line 9.

Songjiang University Town

Songjiang University Town or Songjiang University City is a tertiary education hub located in the outskirts of Shanghai in Songjiang District. The university town was established in 2000 and foundations built in 2005. It has an area of 533 hectares or 8000 Mu. The university town area is China's biggest tertiary education hub in the mainland.

Songjiang Town

Songjiang Town, formerly rendered as Sungkiang, was a large town and the seat of Songjiang County in Shanghai. In 1998 Songjiang County was upgraded to Songjiang District, and in 2001 Songjiang Town was abolished to become Yueyang Subdistrict (岳阳街道). The town has a Song Dynasty square pagoda and nearby a 4 metres high and 6 metres long Ming Dynasty screen wall, decorated with carvings of legendary beasts that depict human failings and misfortunes.

Zuibaichi

Zuibaichi (Chinese: 醉白池; pinyin: Zuì Bái Chí; literally "Drunken Bai Pond") is a Chinese garden in Shanghai's suburban Songjiang District that dates back to the Song Dynasty. It occupies an area of 5 hectares and is one of the five ancient Chinese gardens in Shanghai, along the Guyi Garden, the Yu Garden, the Garden of Autumn Vapors, and the Garden of Zigzag Stream.
