Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium
The Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium, often colloquially referred to as the Water Drop, is a stadium in Tianjin, China. Construction started in August 2003 and was completed in August 2007. The stadium hosted games for the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup and Football preliminaries at the 2008 Summer Olympics. It covers 78,000 square meters and has a capacity of 60,000. The Tianjin Water Park is the largest urban park and recreation area in Tianjin, China. The park was formally established in 1951, covering an area of 126.71 hectares.
