Yangshan Port

Yangshan Port (洋山港), or Yangshan Deep-Water Port (洋山深水港), is a deepwater port for container ships in Hangzhou Bay south of Shanghai. Built to allow the Port of Shanghai to grow despite shallow waters near the shore, it allows berths with depths of up to 15 metres to be built, and can handle today's largest container ships. The port is built on the islands of Greater and Lesser Yangshan, part of the Zhoushan archipelago, with fill from land reclamation.

Sijiao Island

The Sijiao Island is the largest island in the Shengsi Islands (嵊泗列岛) with an area of 21.2 km². The island has subtropical climate with the yearly average temperature of 15.8 °C. It is administrated by Shengsi County (嵊泗县), a part of Zhoushan Prefecture (舟山地区).

Shengsi Islands

The Shengsi Islands (sometimes translated as Shengsi Archipelago) are geographically part of Zhoushan Archipelago and located in the mouth of the Yangtze River. They comprise 394 islands, each with an area larger than 500 m², but of which just 18 are inhabitable. The largest island is Sijiao Island (泗礁山 Sìjiāoshān) with an area of 21.2 km. The area is administrated by Shengsi County (嵊泗县 Shèngsìxiàn) in the Zhoushan Prefecture (舟山地区 Zhōushān dìqū).
