San Carlos (canton)

San Carlos is the name of the 10th canton in the province of Alajuela in Costa Rica. The canton covers an area of 3,347.98 square kilometres, making it the largest canton in the country. It has a population of 137,499 (estimate as of 2003), ranking it fifth. The capital city of the canton is Ciudad Quesada, which is also known as San Carlos.

Maquenque National Park

Maquenque National Park is a proposed National Park, which would form part of the Arenal Huetar Norte Conservation Area, in the northern part of Costa Rica. It would bring together a number of existing Nature Reserves, Wildlife refuges and Forest Reserves to form a new National Park. The park would cover areas between the San Carlos River and the Sarapiquí River and other areas near the Nicaraguan border.

Estadio Carlos Ugalde Álvarez

Estadio Carlos Ugalde Álvarez is a multi-use stadium in Ciudad Quesada, Costa Rica. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Asociacion Deportiva San Carlos. The stadium holds 5,600 people.
