Playas del Coco

Playas del Coco is one of the oldest beach communities in Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica. This area is also one of the fastest growing areas of tourism in Costa Rica. It has long been a popular tourist destinations of both local Costa Rican citizens as well as foreigners. Playas del Coco is affectionately called "El Coco" by the locals or "Coco Beach" by Canadians, Americans and Europeans. Filadelfia de Guanacaste

Filadelfia is the first district and main city of Carrillo in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This district has 7,814 inhabitants and 125.01 km². It was declared an archaeological city because of all the indigenous cemeteries found near the Tempisque River. The town was formerly known as Siete Cueros. It was originally named for the abundance of the trees with this name.

Playa Grande, Costa Rica

Playa Grande is a beach town on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica just north of Tamarindo. Playa Grande is internationally popular as one of Costa Rica’s best surfing spots as well as being home to Parque Nacional Marino Las Baulas, the nesting ground of the largest marine reptile, the Leatherback Turtle; the second largest nesting area for the Leatherback and Ridley Turtles in the world. Salinas is actually the name of the little town at Playa Grande, but this name is rarely used anymore.

Gulf of Papagayo

The Gulf of Papagayo (Spanish: Golfo de Papagayo, meaning "gulf of the parrot") is a large body of water off Guanacaste province and the northwestern coast of Costa Rica. It lies at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:10.7|N|85.8|W||||| | |name= }}. The Gulf and its coastline are part of a major tourism project by Costa Rica's government. One of the major resorts in the area is the Allegro Papagayo.
