Ciudad Colón

Ciudad Colon is a small town situated west of Santa Ana, Costa Rica. Ciudad Colon is the head city of Mora Canton, San José Province. It is famous for its warm climate, proximity to nature and its surrounding mountains, folkloric traditions, horse riding, and multiculturalism. Santa Ana (canton)

Santa Ana is the name of the 9th canton in the province of San José in Costa Rica. The canton covers an area of 61.42 km², and has a population of 48,879. The capital city of the canton is Santa Ana. The triangular-shaped canton is delineated by the Río Virilla on the north and stretches south as it narrows to include a portion of the Cerros de Escazú.

Santa Ana, Costa Rica

Santa Ana is a city in the Central District of Santa Ana, Santa Ana Canton, San José Province, Costa Rica. It is located at around {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:9|56|N|84|11|W|region:CR-SJ_type:city(34507) || |primary |name= }}. The city acts as seat to the municipal government of the Santa Ana Canton. Since the Central District is mostly comprised by the city of Santa Ana, they are often treated interchangeably.

University for Peace

The University for Peace (UPEACE) is an education organization established in Costa Rica in 1980 “to provide humanity with an international institution of higher education for peace with the aim of promoting among all human beings the spirit of understanding, tolerance and peaceful coexistence, to stimulate cooperation among peoples and to help lessen obstacles and threats to world peace and progress, in keeping with the noble aspirations proclaimed in the Charter of the United Nations. ”

United World College of Costa Rica

The United World College Costa Rica (UWCCR) (Spanish - Colegio del Mundo Unido Costa Rica), located in the Santa Ana suburb of San José, is the 11th United World College and the first to offer instruction in both English and Spanish. The College, formerly the "Colegio Internacional SOS Hermann Gmeiner," opened in August 2006 and graduated its first UWC-admitted applicants in 2008. At the moment it contains 149 international students from more than 60 different countries.
