Helfenburk is a castle ruin 5.5 kilometres from the town of Bavorov in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It is situated on Malošín stone hill at an altitude of 683 metres . Between the municipalities of Koječín and Štětín there is a paved road that leads to the castle.

Battle of Sudoměř

The Battle of Sudomĕř was fought on 25 March, 1420, between Catholic and Hussite forces. The Hussites were led by Břeněk of Švihov - who was killed in battle - and Jan Žižka, whose forces proved victorious. This was the second major battle of the Hussite Wars; the first battle, the Battle of Nekmíř, was more of a Hussite retreat than a true fight.

Zliv

Zliv is a town north west of České Budějovice in the South Bohemian Region, Czech Republic. Its coordinates are (50° 22' 0N, 15° 13' 60E) with an altitude of 400 meters. The first recorded reference to Zliv dates back to 1409. By the end of the 19th century the economic expansion of the village began to take place as local factories started manufacturing ceramic material and fireproof goods.
