Katovice (Strakonice District)

Katovice, also known as Kátouce, is a small town in Strakonice District in the South Bohemian Region, in the Czech Republic. The village is located 5 kilometres to the west of the town of Strakonice, and it is 412 meters (1351 feet) above the sea level. It is situated in the center of the former Prachens region. Katovická hora (sometimes called "Kněží hora") is a hill, 2 km far from the town. On the top of Katovická hora, there used to be great Slavic hillfort.

Volyňka

Volyňka is a river in the Czech Republic in the South Bohemian Region rising on the hill called Světlá hora and flowing 46.1 km northeast to city of Strakonice, where merging in Otava River. Volyňka flows through towns such Vimperk, Volyně, Strakonice and villages such as Lčovice and Čkyně. Four ancient settlements dated 600-500 BC were found around the river : Věnec near Lcovice, Němětice, Libětice and Třebohostice.

Předslavice

Předslavice is a village in the South Bohemian Region, Czech republic. The village is situated approximately 5 km east of Volyně in the hilly landscape near the Šumava mountains. It has 240 inhabitants living in 7 local parts: Předslavice, Beneda, Kalce, Úlehle (Oulehle), Všechlapy, Marčovice and Kakovice. A famous native of Marčovice was the priest, patriot and regional historian František Teplý (1867–1945).
