Dobev

Dobev is a village in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has an area of 21,28 km² and 699 inhabitants in 5 parts (2001). It consists of Stará Dobev and Nová Dobev and it is situated on the road from Písek to Strakonice. The village lies in lowland and contains are several ponds. There is The Church of St. Brixi formerly from the nad of 14th century, the nave was built in the mid-of 18th century.

Battle of Sudoměř

The Battle of Sudomĕř was fought on 25 March, 1420, between Catholic and Hussite forces. The Hussites were led by Břeněk of Švihov - who was killed in battle - and Jan Žižka, whose forces proved victorious. This was the second major battle of the Hussite Wars; the first battle, the Battle of Nekmíř, was more of a Hussite retreat than a true fight.

Putim

Putim is a village in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic with approximately 440 inhabitants. Historically the spot was inhabited sporadically first by Celtic tribes (2nd century BCE), then by Romans (1st century) and then subsequently by old Slavs during the 8th century. The Film Academy of Miroslav Ondříček in Písek is a private school located in South Bohemia in Písek. The school is named after Miroslav Ondříček, a well known Czech cinematographer and patron of the school. Písek Stone Bridge

The Písek Stone Bridge (Kamenný most v Písku in Czech) is the oldest bridge on the area of Czech Republic and one of two oldest bridges in Central Europe, located in south Bohemian city of Písek. It was probably built in the 3rd quarter of the 13th century. It is sometimes called Stag Bridge because, according to legend, it was to be named after the first being to pass over it.
