Dobev
Dobev is a village in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has an area of 21,28 km² and 699 inhabitants in 5 parts (2001). It consists of Stará Dobev and Nová Dobev and it is situated on the road from Písek to Strakonice. The village lies in lowland and contains are several ponds. Katovice (Strakonice District)
Katovice, also known as Kátouce, is a small town in Strakonice District in the South Bohemian Region, in the Czech Republic. The village is located 5 kilometres to the west of the town of Strakonice, and it is 412 meters (1351 feet) above the sea level. It is situated in the center of the former Prachens region. Katovická hora (sometimes called "Kněží hora") is a hill, 2 km far from the town. On the top of Katovická hora, there used to be great Slavic hillfort.

Battle of Sudoměř
The Battle of Sudomĕř was fought on 25 March, 1420, between Catholic and Hussite forces. The Hussites were led by Břeněk of Švihov - who was killed in battle - and Jan Žižka, whose forces proved victorious. This was the second major battle of the Hussite Wars; the first battle, the Battle of Nekmíř, was more of a Hussite retreat than a true fight.
