Otava (river)

The Otava is a river in West and South Bohemia, Czech Republic. It is 112 kilometres long and is a left tributary of the Vltava. The river flows through several towns, including Sušice, Strakonice and Písek. The river's name is of Celtic origin. It is a popular river for water sports. The local dialect of Prachens also uses the name "Wotāva".

Oslov

Oslov is a village in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It is situated about 8 km northern from Písek on the way from Záhoří to Zvíkovské Podhradí. There are several houses and farms in the village, a shop, some pubs and a church with small cemetery.

Žďákov Bridge

Žďákov Bridge is a steel arch bridge that spans the Vltava in the Czech Republic. It is situated on the road between Tábor and Plzeň, near Orlík nad Vltavou. The total length of the bridge is 543 m, including approach spans. The main span is: 362 m . It was named after the nearby village, flooded during the construction of the Orlík Dam.

Orlík nad Vltavou

Orlík nad Vltavou is a village in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. The village was formerly called Staré Sedlo, named after the chateau. In Czech, "nad Vltavou" means "upon the river Vltava" and both the chateau and the village are situated on the left river bank, on the shores of the Orlik reservoir which was created by the building of Orlík Dam. The chateau, Orlík Castle, stand right adjacent to the water and is surrounded by a huge castle park and a game preserve.
