Velhartice
Velhartice is a village in the Czech Republic dating to the 13th century, dominated by the Gothic castle Hrad Velhartice. The castle was built 1290-1310 by a nobleman who later became courtier and close friend of the Emperor Charles IV (1316-1378). During the Thirty Years' War, Emperor Ferdinand II gave the castle to one of his generals, Don Balthazar de Marradas who, in 1628, sold it to Don Martin de Hoeff Huerta who bought it for his beautiful adopted daughter Anne-Marie of Moldavia.

Hojsova Stráž
Hojsova Stráž is a village in the Bohemian Forest in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic. It is administratively a part of Železná Ruda. It traces its origins to the 16th century as a community of miners. The single-aisled Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary was built in 1826. Since the late 18th century the region has been known as a tourist destination for its remarkable natural landscapes.

Černé jezero
Černé jezero /ˈtʃɛər. nɛˈjɛ. zɛ. roʊ/ (literally, Black Lake) in the Bohemian Forest is the largest and deepest natural lake in the Czech Republic. This triangular lake surrounded with spruce forest is located about 6 km northwest of Železná Ruda under a 300-metre-high cliff on Jezerní hora (1,343 m). It is of glacial origin, a product of the Würm glaciation. The water in the lake is oligotrophic.

Klenová Castle
Klenová castle (Czech: Hrad a zámek Klenová) is a large castle located in southwest Bohemia near the town of Klatovy. Only ruins remain from the original castle but buildings of a new chateau were added in the 19th century. Klenová castle was built in 1291 as a part of the frontier defence system. Kryštof Harant z Polžic a Bezdružic, a writer and musician from the nobility, was born here in 1564.

Pajrek
The ruins of the Pajrek castle lie in the Czech Republic above the town of Nýrsko in the western part of the Šumava (Bohemian Forest), 505 m a.s.l. This important borderline castle was established at the beginning of the 14th century. In 1472 it was already abandoned. In 1504 the castle was reconstructed, but it was only used till the middle of the 16th century, when it was finally abandoned. Only the remains of the huge tower have been preserved up till the present day.
