Sake, Democratic Republic of the Congo

Sake is a town in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the eastern province of North Kivu. It is located at the northwestern extremity of Lake Kivu, 25 km (15 mi) west-northwest of Goma on National Road No. 2, at the edge of the volcanic lava plains in the bottom of the Western Rift Valley, at an elevation of about 1500 m. The western escarpment of the rift valley rises to 800 m above Sake.

Karuba

Karuba is a village in Nord-Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. In September and October 2007, it was the scene of fighting between the forces of rebel general Laurent Nkunda and the army of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Congolese army claimed to be in control of Karuba as of October 10, 2007.

Volcan Rumoka

Volcan Rumoka, also known as Rumoka and Le Rumoka, is a cinder cone volcano in Nord-Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly known as Zaire). The volcano is a minor satellite cone on the flanks of the massive shield volcano of Nyamuragira. It is located about 16 km (10 mi) south of Nyamuragira's caldera.

Stade de Virunga

Stade de Virunga is a multi-use stadium in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is currently used mostly for football matches and serves as the home venue for DC Virunga. The stadium has a capacity of 8,000 people.

Murara

Murara was a small, short-lived, cinder cone on the flank of Mount Nyamuragira, that began erupting on December 23, 1976. Eruptions from Murara reduced considerably after the eruption of Mount Nyiragongo on January 10, 1977 and ended completely in April 1977.
