Chone, Ecuador

Chone is a town in the province of Manabi in Ecuador. Officially, La Real Santisíma Villa Rica de la Bendita Providencia de San Cayetano de Chone de esta nuestra Nueva Castilla in reference to Saint Cajetan and The City of Kings, called Pueblo Viejo de Chone or Señorío de Pechance was founded in the early days of the colonization. It's located in the Ecuador's low-lying coastal region and plays an important CHONE transportation hub. It is about 7 hours by bus from the capital city of Quito.

Isla Corazón

Isla Corazon is a naturally heart-shaped mangrove island, located on the Chone River estuary off the city of Bahía de Caráquez in Ecuador's coastal province of Manabi. The uninhabited island is a nesting site to one of the largest frigate bird colonies in the Pacific, along with a host of other bird species. The island was expanded through the mangrove restoration efforts of the local fishermen and was named a National Wildlife Refuge shortly thereafter.

Estadio Reales Tamarindos

Estadio Reales Tamarindos is a multi-use stadium in Portoviejo, Ecuador. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Portoviejo. The stadium has a capacity of 18,000 spectators and opened in 1970.
