Hazega
Hazega is a small village in Central Eritrea located in the former province of Hamasien. It is located approximately 12 miles (16 km) north-west from the capital city, Asmara, and 35 miles (56 km) south-east of Keren. It is an entirely Christian village inhabited by the Tigrinya speaking people of Eritrea. The village is located some kilometres west of Emba Derho close to the Anseba river and east of Tsazega at an altitude of 2323m.

Mai Nefhi
Mai Nefhi (Tigrigna for "water dam") is both a location near Asmara, Eritrea and the dam after which it was named. The Mai Nefhi dam, constructed prior to Eritrean independence, is the main water source for Asmara. The dimensions of the dam are such that it is large enough to sustain the total population of Asmara. Baarda village is located nearby. Eritrea Institute of Technology, the only technical university in the country is located 500m away from Mai Nefhi.

Dairo Paulos
Dairo Paulos (alternatively Da'iro P'awlos or Dahro Caulos) is a village on the outskirts of Asmara, Eritrea. The name means "Fig of Paul" and is reported to refer to a characteristic tree of the area and a founder of the village. There is a small reservoir near the town. Dairo Pawlos is now on a transit line of the municipality of Asmara near the Asmara International Airport.
