1913 Asmara earthquake

The 1913 Asmara Earthquake was a seismic movement that took place outside Asmara, Eritrea on 27 February. The data as to the magnitude of the earthquake is imprecise due to the frequency and magnitude of aftershocks, but a maximum felt intensity of VI (Strong) on the Mercalli intensity scale was recorded at Asmara. The "felt" area of the earthquake extended into Northern Ethiopia as well as Kassala in Sudan.

Semenawi Bahri National Park

Semenawi Bahri National Park has a single asphalted road through it to facilitate transportation. The Park is also equipped with recreation centers at Meguo, Medhanit, and Sabur. Filfil

Filfil is a town in Eritrea, lying north of Asmara. Based on plantations, it is known for its surrounding rainforest and its animals. It is also within one of Eritrea's protected national forests. There is a highway built exclusively for non-commercial traffic through this town connecting the cities of Asmara and Massawa through Ghatelai.

Cicero Stadium

Cicero Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Asmara, Eritrea. With a capacity of 20,000, it is currently used mostly for football matches. The facility was built in 1958 by the municipality of Asmara for the African Nations Cup. It is used by Red Sea FC, Adulis FC, Hintsa and Edaga Hamus. The stadium received in 2005 an artificial turf pitch, 3rd generation, One Star field test from the FIFA's development programme "Goal".
