Kofele is one of the woredas in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia. It is named after the administrative center of the woreda, Kofele. Part of the Mirab Arsi Zone, Kofele is bordered on the south by the Kokosa, on the west by the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples' Region, on the northwest by the Shashamene Zuria, on the north by Kore, on the east by Gedeb Asasa, and on the south east by Dodola. Other towns in Kofele include Wabe Gefersa.

Shashamane

Shashamane (or Shashemene, ሻሸመኔ) is a town and a separate woreda in central Ethiopia. It is located in the Mirab Arsi Zone of the Oromia Region. The city lies on the Trans-African Highway 4 Cairo-Cape Town, about 150 miles from the capital of Addis Ababa. It has a latitude of 7° 12' north and a longitude of 38° 36' east. The 2007 national census reported a total population for this town of 100,454, of whom 50,654 were men and 49,800 were women.
