Hagere Selam (Degua Tembien)

Hagere Selam (meaning place of peace) is a town in northern Ethiopia. Located in the Tembien area of the Tigray Region on the Mekelle-Abiy Addi regional road, it has a longitude and latitude of {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:13|39|N|39|10|E||| | |name= }} with an elevation of 2625 meters above sea level. The town is the administrative center of Degua Tembien woreda. Hagere Selam is located on the saddle point between two of the highest points in Tigray.

Degua Tembien

Degua Tembien is one of the woredas in the Tigray Region of Ethiopia. It is named in part after the former province of Tembien. Part of the Mehakelegnaw Zone, Degua Tembien is bordered on the south by the Debub Misraqawi (South Eastern) Zone, on the west by Abergele, on the north by Kola Tembien, and on the east by the Misraqawi (Eastern) Zone. The administrative center of this woreda is Hagere Selam.

Abiy Addi

Abiy Addi (also spelled Abi Addi; Tigrigna "Big town") is a town and separate woreda in north central Ethiopia, and was capital of the former province of Tembien before that province was incorporated into Tigray. Located about 470 kilometres north of Addis Ababa in the Mehakelegnaw Zone of the Tigray Region, this town has a latitude and longitude of {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:13|37|23|N|39|00|06|E| | |name= }} with an elevation ranging from 1917 to 2275 meters above sea level.

Debubawi Zone

Debubawi (or "Southern") is one of Zones in the Ethiopian Region of Tigray. Debubawi is bordered on the south and west by the Amhara Region, on the north by Debub Misraqawi (Southeastern) Zone, and on the east by the Afar Region. Towns and cities in Debubawi include Alamata. Debub Misraqawi (Southeastern) Zone was separated from Debubawi Zone. The highest point in this Zone is Mount Amba Alagi (3949 meters), one of the southernmost peaks of the Wajirat Mountains.
