Belvédère tower

The Tour du Belvédère is a 20 metre tall observation tower located on Belvédère mountain near Mulhouse in Alsace, France. Tour du Belvédère was designed by Ph. Ant. Fauler, built in 1898 and is reminiscent of the Eiffel Tower.

The Gare de Mulhouse, also known as Gare de Mulhouse-Ville or locally as Gare Centrale, is the main railway station in the city of Mulhouse, Alsace, France. It is the eastern terminus of the Paris–Mulhouse railway.

Air France Flight 296

Air France Flight 296 was a chartered flight of a new fly-by-wire Airbus A320-111 operated by Air France. On June 26, 1988, it was flying over Mulhouse-Habsheim Airport as part of an air show. The low-speed flyover (with landing gear down) was supposed to take place at an altitude of 100 feet (33 metres) AGL (above ground level); instead, the plane performed the flyover at 30 feet, skimmed the treetops of the forest at the end of the runway, and crashed to the ground—killing three passengers.
