Cluny Abbey

Cluny Abbey is a Benedictine monastery in Cluny, Saône-et-Loire, France. It was built in the Romanesque style, with three churches built in succession from the 10th to the early 12th centuries. Cluny was founded by William I, Duke of Aquitaine in 910. He nominated Berno as the first Abbot of Cluny, subject only to Pope Sergius III. Arboretum de Pézanin

The Arboretum de Pézanin (27 hectares) is an arboretum located in Dompierre-les-Ormes, Saône-et-Loire, Bourgogne, France. The arboretum was established in 1903 by Joseph-Marie-Philippe Lévêque de Vilmorin (1872-1917), owner of Château d'Audour. Between 1903 and 1923, over 1100 species were planted, but it then fell into a period of abandonment until it was acquired by the state in 1935. It is now managed by the Office national des Forêts.
