Church of St Philibert, Tournus

St Philibert's Church in Tournus, France, is the church of the former Benedictine abbey established here in c. 950. The building is a structure of the early First Romanesque style of Burgundy, which is beginning to use further Romanesque and early Gothic styles during the beginning of the 11th century.

La Ferté Abbey

La Ferté Abbey was a Cistercian monastery founded in 1113 in La Ferté-sur-Grosne in the present commune of Saint-Ambreuil, Saône-et-Loire, France, the first of the four great daughter-houses of Cîteaux Abbey. It was dissolved in 1791.

Taizé Community

The Taizé Community is an ecumenical monastic order in Taizé, Saône-et-Loire, Burgundy, France. It is composed of rather more than a hundred brothers, from Protestant and Catholic traditions, who originate from about thirty countries across the world.
