Château de Saché

The Château de Saché is a stately home built from the converted remains of a feudal castle. It is situated in Saché, Indre-et-Loire, the heart of the French Touraine, in the valley of the river Indre. It was here, between 1830 and 1837, that the French writer Honoré de Balzac wrote some of his finest works in the series La Comédie Humaine, comprising nearly 90 novels, in which he attempted to reflect every aspect of French society at that time.

Château de Villandry

The Château de Villandry is a castle-palace located in Villandry, in the département of Indre-et-Loire, France. The lands where an ancient fortress once stood were known as Colombier until the 17th century. Acquired in the early 16th century by Jean Le Breton, France's Controller-General for War under King Francis I, a new château was constructed around the original 14th-century keep where King Philip II of France once met Richard I of England to discuss peace.

The ESCEM School of Business and Management is a business school in France. With a yearly enrolment of about 2000 business students. ESCEM awards around 15 different qualifications from 2 year degrees to Masters level degrees. Created in April 1998, ESCEM is the result of a merger between two business schools: ESC Tours and ESC Poitiers. Cher (river)

The Cher is a river in central France, left tributary to the river Loire. Its source is in the Creuse département, north-east of Crocq. It joins the river Loire in Villandry, west of Tours. The river suffered a devastating flood in 1940, which damaged Château de Chenonceau, which spans the river, and other structures along the banks.
