Bellevaux Abbey

This article is not about the Bellevaux Abbey near Limanton, Nièvre, France, nor the abbey near Lausanne, Switzerland Bellevaux Abbey was a Cistercian monastery, founded in 1120 by Pons de Morimond, near the present-day Cirey, Haute-Saône, France. At that time it was in Franche-Comté. It was suppressed in 1790 and sold in 1791. Shortly afterwards the church was demolished. 1795 the buildings were bought by Jean-Charles Pichegru. It was a daughter house of Morimond Abbey.

Château de la Juive

The Castle of the Jewish, in French château de la Juive, is a residential castle located in the French city of Besançon. The first building was constructed at an unknown date, the earliest information going back to the 18th century. In the 19th century, a rich Jew family (the Lippmans, founders of the Lip company) bought the house and transformed it into a luxurious villa. Since then, the castle of Clementigney is known as the castle of the Jewish.

Scey

The Scey is a 20.4 km river that traverses the Doubs and Haute-Saône departments in the Franche-Comté region in eastern France. It rises in Marvelise and flows generally west to join the Ognon in Villersexel. Its tributaries include the Rognon.
