Lac de Chambon

The Lac de Chambon (Chambon Lake) is an artificial lake on the Creuse River, France, created by the Eguzon dam, a hydroelectric dam. Beaches have been created around the lake, the largest in the Centre Region. There is a sailing school on the lake near Eguzon. Canoes, kayaks and pedalos can be hired in season. The lake is also very popular with waterskiers and anglers. It is not be confused with Lac Chambon in the Puy-de-Dôme department or Lac du Chambon in the Isère department.

Roc-aux-Sorciers

Roc-aux-Sorciers is an Upper Paleolithic rock shelter site dating to the mid-Magdalenian cultural stage, ca 14000 yBP, made famous by its relief wall carvings. The site is in the French commune of Angles-sur-l'Anglin, in Vienne. The name 'Sorcerers' Rock', with its suggestions of pagan rendez-vous, was applied to the site long before the wall-carvings were discovered.

Anglin

The Anglin is a 91 km long river in the Creuse, Indre and Vienne départements in central France. Its source is near Azerables. It flows generally northwest. It is a right tributary of the Gartempe into which it flows near Angles-sur-l'Anglin. Its main tributaries are the Salleron, the Abloux and the Benaize. The Anglin is one of France's few remaining "wild rivers" (rivers which have never been dammed).
