Sées Cathedral

Sées Cathedral (Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Sées) is a Roman Catholic cathedral, and national monument of France, in Sées (formerly also Séez) in Normandy. It is the seat of the Bishop of Sées. The Gothic cathedral dates from the 13th and 14th century and occupies the site of three earlier churches. The west front, which is disfigured by the buttresses projecting beyond it, has two stately spires of open work 230 ft. high. The nave was built towards the end of the 13th century.

Roman Catholic Diocese of Séez

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Séez, is a diocese, of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic church in France. Originally established in the 3rd century, the diocese encompasses the department of Orne, in the Region of Basse-Normandie. The episcopal see is the cathedral in Sées, and the diocese is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Rouen. The current bishop of Séez is Mgr. Jacques Léon Jean Marie Habert.

Peray Airfield

Peray Airfield is an abandoned World War II military airfield, which is located near the commune of Peray in the Pays de la Loire region of northern France. Located about 1 mile south of Peray, the United States Army Air Force established a temporary airfield on 20 August 1944. The airfield was constructed by the IX Engineering Command, 819th Engineer Aviation Battalion.
