Château d'Oiron
The Château d'Oiron is located in Oiron, in the Deux-Sèvres département of western France. It has its origins in the 15th century war with the English for control of France when a victorious Charles VII of France gave the domain and great forest of Oiron to Guillaume Gouffier who became governor of Touraine. Château de Bressuire
The Château de Bressuire is a ruined castle in the town of Bressuire in the Deux-Sèvres département of France. The site has been inhabited continuously since the Celtic epoch. The present castle, most probably founded at the turn of the 10th and 11th centuries by the Beaumont family, occupies a considerable area on the rounded extremity of a plateau. With its strong position, it played a leading military role in the battles in Poitou between the kings of England and France over three centuries.

Argenton (river)
The Argenton is a 71 km long river in France, left tributary of the Thouet. Its source is in the commune Cirières. Its course crosses the department of Deux-Sèvres. It flows generally northeast through the towns of Le Pin, Nueil-les-Aubiers, Argenton-les-Vallées and Argenton-l'Église, finally flowing into the Thouet near Saint-Martin-de-Sanzay.
