Battle of the Bridge of Cornellana

The Battle of the Bridge of Cornellana occurred in 842 between the forces of Nepocian, who had been elected by the nobility to succeed Alfonso II of Asturias, and Ramiro, a kinsman of the dead king. It resulted in Nepocian's defeat, allowing the victor to succeed to the Asturian throne as Ramiro I. It occurred by the river Narcea, at a bridge at Cornellana, in Salas.

Jardin d'Oiseaux Tropicaux

The Jardin d'Oiseaux Tropicaux (6 hectares) is an aviary and botanical garden located on the Route de Valcros, La Londe-les-Maures, Var, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France. It is open daily; an admission fee is charged. The garden was established in 1989 and in 2008 was designated a Jardin Remarquable by the Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication.

Le Thoronet Abbey

Le Thoronet Abbey (French: L'abbaye du Thoronet) is a former Cistercian abbey built in the late twelfth and early thirteenth century, now restored as a museum. It is sited between the towns of Draguignan and Brignoles in the Var Department of Provence, in southeast France. It is one of the three Cistercian abbeys in Provence, along with the Sénanque Abbey and Silvacane, that together are known as "the Three Sisters of Provence.

Stade Perruc
