Realization (climb)

Realization, or Biographie, is a sport climbing route on a crag on the southern face of the 2016-metre (6614-foot) Montagne de Céüse near Gap and Céüse, France. The first person to successfully climb Realization was Chris Sharma, who did not grade the climb. It is generally considered to be 9a+ or 5.15a. Among the routes that have been repeated by anyone else except the author, Realization is the first ascent to be recognized with a 5.15a rating making it the most difficult at that time.

Conservatoire botanique national alpin de Gap-Charance

The Conservatoire botanique national alpin de Gap-Charance is a national conservatory specializing in alpine plants, located in the Domaine de Charance, about 4 km northwest of Gap, Hautes-Alpes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France. The conservatory was established in 2004 by national statute to study and conserve alpine species in seven adjacent French départements: Ain, Alpes de Haute-Provence, Hautes-Alpes, Drôme, Isère, Savoie, and Haute-Savoie.

Plateau de Bure Interferometer

The Plateau de Bure Interferometer is a six-antenna interferometer on the Plateau de Bure (2550 m) in the French Alps, operated by the Institut de radioastronomie millimétrique. It is specifically designed for millimetre-wave observations and specialises in studies of line emission from molecular gas and radio continuum of cold dust. The interferometer consists of six antennas with a diameter of 15m each.

Gap Cathedral

Gap Cathedral (Cathédrale Notre-Dame-et-Saint-Arnoux de Gap) is a Roman Catholic cathedral, and a national monument of France, located in the town of Gap, Hautes-Alpes. It is the seat of the Bishop of Gap. The current cathedral was built between 1866 and 1905 in Neo-Gothic style by architect Charles Laisné on the site of a former mediaeval cathedral.
