Sâne Morte

The Sâne Morte (French: la Sâne Morte, the dead Sâne) is a 54.6 km long river in the Ain and Saône-et-Loire départements, eastern France. Its source is at Foissiat. It flows generally north-northwest. It is a right tributary of the Sâne Vive into which it flows at Ménetreuil.

Coligny calendar

The Gaulish Coligny calendar was found in Coligny, Ain, France near Lyon in 1897, along with the head of a bronze statue of a youthful male figure. It is a lunisolar calendar. It is now held at the Gallo-Roman Museum of Lyon. It was engraved on a bronze tablet, preserved in 73 fragments, that originally was 1.48 m wide and 0.9 m high (Lambert p.  111) or approximately 5 feet wide by 3½ feet in height.

Sâne Vive

The Sâne Vive (French: la Sâne Vive), or Sâne, is a 46.8 km long river in the Ain and Saône-et-Loire départements, eastern France. Its source is at Lescheroux. It flows generally northwest. It is a left tributary of the Seille into which it flows between La Genête and Brienne. Its main tributary is the Sâne Morte.
