Ferdinand Cheval

Ferdinand Cheval (born 1836 in Charmes-sur-l'Herbasse, Drôme, France; died 19 August 1924) was a French postman who spent thirty-three years of his life building Le Palais idéal (the "Ideal Palace") in Hauterives. The Palace is regarded as an extraordinary example of naïve art architecture.

Tour de Ratières

The Tour de Ratières, built in the commune of Ratières in the north of the Drôme département of France, is a medieval tower once the keep of a castle. Approximately 15 metres high and hexagonal in plan, it overlooks the village and the surrounding plain.

Triors Abbey

Triors Abbey (Abbaye Notre-Dame de Triors) is a Benedictine monastery situated at Châtillon-Saint-Jean in the Drôme, Rhône-Alpes, France. It was founded in 1984 as a priory of Fontgombault Abbey in an 18th century château bequeathed to the monks for that purpose. Major building works took place from 1990. Triors was raised to the status of an independent abbey in 1994. The first abbot was Dom Hervé Courau, who continues in post. The community, as of 2008, numbers about 40.

Pont Grand (Tournon-sur-Rhône)
