La Vallon Airfield is an abandoned World War II military airfield in France, which is located approximately 6 km north-northeast of Montbrison (Departement de la Loire,Rhone-Alpes); about 385 km south-southeast of Paria. La Vallon was an all-weather temporary temporary sod airfield built by the XII Engineer Command. The runway was 7800' in length; 300' wide and aligned 13/31.

Château de Bostfranchet
The ruins of the Château de Bostfranchet can be found on the Bostfranchet estate in the Viverols canton of the Puy-de-Dôme département, France. Occupied from the 12th century by the Pelet family, originally from the Narbonnais region, Bostfranchet is the cradle of the Beaufranchet (or Pelet de Beaufranchet) family. A manor house there was fortified under Charles I, Duke of Bourbon; walls, fortified towers and ditches were built. All that remains now is a ruined tower of the castle.

For some years, a mediaeval festival has been organised in August.
