Kaftanzoglio Stadium
Kaftanzoglio Stadium (Καυτανζόγλειο στάδιο) is a sports stadium in Thessaloniki, Greece. The stadium was built with money donated by the Kaftanzoglou Foundation, hence its name. At the time of its opening on 27 October 1960, the stadium was one of the highest quality stadiums in the Balkans. It currently has 27,770 seats, owing to a comprehensive renovation before reopening to host football matches for the 2004 Summer Olympics, which was centred in Athens.

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (often called the Aristotelian University or University of Thessaloniki) is the largest university in Greece and in the Balkans. It is named after the philosopher Aristotle, who was born in Stageira, about 55 km east of Thessaloniki. Its campus covers 230,000 square metres in the centre of Salonica, with additional educational and administrative facilities elsewhere.

Karipeion Melathron
Karipeio Melathro is an Ottoman-period historical building in the center of Thessaloniki, Greece. It is located in the crossroad of Olympiados and F. Dragoumi streets. Its architect is the Italian Vitaliano Pozzeli. Karipio was the official residence of the then Selanik Prefect, who was the political representative of the Ottoman Empire in Macedonia. After Thessaloniki became part of Greece in 1912, the building became a property of the Greek State.
