Flogita

Flogita, is a coastal village in Chalkidiki, Greece, 52 km from Thessaloniki and 6 km from Nea Moudania. The village, in the municipality of Nea Propontida, is built on a hill overlooking the Thermaikos Gulf. Most of the village is only a few minutes from the sea, and on a clear day, there is a wonderful view across the bay to Mount Olympus. Flogita was founded in 1923, when refugees fleeing the Anatolian destruction in Cappadocia assembled to build New Flogita.

Petralona cave

The Petralona cave is located in Chalkidiki, 1 km away to the east of the eponymous village, about 35 km S-E of Thessaloniki and on the west side of Mount Katsika. Often designated as the "Petralona skull", Archanthropus europaeus petraloniensis, oldest European hominid, was found there.

Krini, Greece

Krini is a small town of approximately 500 year-round inhabitants in Northern Greece. Krini is a community of the municipal unit Triglia, regional unit of Chalkidiki. Krini's main agricultural crops include wheat, olives, onions, grapes, and anise.

Olynthus

Olynthus was an ancient city of Chalcidice, built mostly on two flat-topped hills 30–40m in height, in a fertile plain at the head of the Gulf of Torone, near the neck of the peninsula of Pallene, about 2.5 kilometers from the sea, and about 60 stadia (c. 9–10 kilometers) from Poteidaea.

Potidaea

Potidaea was a colony founded by the Corinthians around 600 BC in the narrowest point of the peninsula of Pallene, the westernmost of three peninsulas at the southern end of Chalcidice in northern Greece. While besieged by the Persians in 479 BC, the town was saved by the earliest recorded tsunami in history.
