Porto Koufo

Porto Koufo is the largest natural harbour in Greece (in depth). The harbour was mentioned by the historian Thucydides. German submarines used it during World War II because of its geographical location and direct access to the Aegean Sea. Porto Koufo is located in the municipality Sithonia, Chalkidiki.

Porto Carras

Porto Carras, known as Porto Carras Grand Resort, is one of northern Greece's largest and most famous hotels and holiday resorts. It is located on Sithonia, Chalkidiki peninsula in northern Greece. It is about 120 km away from Greece's second biggest city, Thessaloniki. Porto Carras was created by Yiannis Carras, a Greek businessman and ship-owner. Originally it was planned with the renowned architect Walter Gropius, but the construction works started posthumously in 1973.

Agiou Panteleimonos monastery

St. Panteleimon (Pantaleon's) Monastery is a Russian Orthodox monastery built on the southwest side of the peninsula of Mt. Athos in Greece. It is the largest of the many monasteries on the peninsula, in terms of physical size, though not in population.

Xenophontos monastery

Xenophontos monastery is an Orthodox Christian monastery in the monastic state of Mount Athos in Greece. It is built by the sea, standing on the western shore of the Athos peninsula. It was built in the tenth or eleventh century. The monastery is dedicated to St George and has 11 chapels inside and 6 outside. The monastery ranks sixteenth in the hierarchy of the Athonite monasteries. The community has about 55 working monks. The library contains c. 300 manuscripts and 4000 printed books.
