Agia Effimia Bay
Agia Effimia Bay is a bay on the eastern coast of the island of Kefalonia, Greece. Its total length is approximately 5 kilometres, and it is approximately 3 kilometres wide from Sami to Cape Dichalia. It is bordered by Sami Bay to the south and the Strait of Ithaca to the northeast. The mountains surround the gulf to the east, while a small valley lies in the area of the port of Agia Effimia. There is a ferry route linking Agia Effimia and the island of Ithaca.

Massacre of the Acqui Division
The Massacre of the Acqui Division, also known as the Cephalonia Massacre (Italian: Eccidio di Cefalonia, German: Massaker auf Kefalonia), was the mass execution of the men of the Italian 33rd Acqui Infantry Division by the Germans on the island of Cephalonia, Greece, in September 1943, following the Italian armistice during the Second World War. About 5000 soldiers were massacred and others drowned or were otherwise murdered.
