Chidira

Chidira (pop. 488/2001) is a village on the Greek island of Lesbos (or Lesvos), located at its western part and belonging to the municipality of Eresos-Antissa. Chidira borders with the villages Agra, Mesotopos, Eresos, Antissa, Revma, Pterounda and Vatousa. Chidira is the birthplace of Georgios Jakobides or Iakovidis, one of the most important Greek painters. The Jacobides Digital Museum is located in Chidira.

Anemotia

Anemotia is a village on the Greek Island of Lesbos. It belongs to the municipality of Kalloni and is located in the mountains, roughly halfway between Kalloni and Eresos. Anemotia's beautiful cobbled streets, stone houses and panoramic vistas make it picturesque. The fertile but rocky terrain of the mountains is covered with olive trees. The local farmers claim that the olives grown on these trees produce the most fragrant olive oil in the country.

The Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest (Greek: Μουσείο Φυσικής Ιστορίας Απολιθωμένου Δάσους Λέσβου) is a geological museum located in the village of Sigri on the island of Lesbos in Greece. Established in 1994, it is a center for the study, management, and preservation of the petrified forest of Lesbos and for public education about the site. It is a founding member of the European Geoparks Network and is a member of UNESCO's Global Geoparks Network.
