Our Lady of Tinos (Greek: Παναγία Ευαγγελίστρια της Τήνου, Panagía Evangelístria tēs Tēnou, literally "The All-Holy Bringer of Good News"; or Μεγαλόχαρη της Τήνου, Megalócharē tēs Tēnou, literally is the major Marian shrine in Greece. It is located in the town of Tinos on the island of Tinos. The complex is built around a miraculous icon which according to tradition was found after the Virgin appeared to the nun St. Pelagia and revealed to her the place where the icon was buried.

Greek cruiser Elli (1912)

Elli was a 2,600 ton Greek protected cruiser named for a naval battle of the First Balkan War in which Greece was victorious. She was completed in 1913 and commissioned in 1914. Elli saw action during World War I and in the disastrous Asia Minor Expedition. An Italian submarine sank her, before the outbreak of the Greco-Italian War on 15th of August 1940 while she sat at anchor.

Komi, Tinos

Komi is a small village on the island of Tinos, a Cycladic island in Greece. It has a well-known Catholic church, and offers beautiful Cycladic type architecture. Every year, on August 29th, a big party is held there, with visitors from various parts of Greece and even foreigners.

Paraportiani

The Church of Panagia Paraportiani is situated in the neighbourhood of Kastro, in the town of Chora, on the Greek island of Mykonos. Its name literally means "Our Lady of the Side Gate" in Greek, as its entrance was found in the side gate of the entrance to the Kastro area. The building of this church started in 1425 and was not completed until the 17th century.
