Archaeological Museum of Agrinio

The Archaeological Museum of Agrinio (Greek: Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Αγρινίου, Archaiologiko Mouseio Agriniou) is a museum located in the city of Agrinio in Aetolia-Acarnania, in Greece. It lies next to the Papastrateio Municipal Park and features artifacts dating back to Antiquity and Roman times from the area around Agrinio. It was constructed in 1960 through the donation of the Papastratos firm.

Panetolikos Stadium

Panetolikos Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Agrinio in Aetolia-Acarnania, Greece. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Panetolikos. The stadium is located at Prousiotissis Street and it holds 7,500 people. Its highest attendance was 11,012 during a match with Olympiacos CFP in 1977. There are plans to increase the seating capacity of the stadium to 11,000 in the future if necessary.

Dimokratias Square (Agrinio)

Dimokratias Square (Greek: Πλατεία Δημοκρατίας, Plateia Dimokratias, "Democracy Square") is the central square of the city of Agrinio. The square was created in 1879 when Michail Bellos (Μιχαήλ Μπέλλος) was mayor, and was long named Bellou Square (Πλατεία Μπέλλου) after him. On Good Friday 1944, the German occupation authorities hung Avraam Anastasiadis, Panos Soulos and Christos Salakos from the square's lamp-posts. Today, three roads leading to the square are named after them.

Kastraki (lake)

Lake Kastraki (Greek: Λίμνη Καστρακίου Limni Kastrakiou) is an artificial lake in Greece. It is located east of Kastraki and Bampalio in Aetolia-Acarnania. It dams up the Acheloos. The area is about 28 km² and has about 1,000,000,000 m³ of water. The dam of this lake is 95 m tall with the length of 530 m and the base width of 380 m and has a hydroelectric dam of 320 MW operated by DEI.

Argyro Pigadi

Argyro Pigadi is a village in the municipality of Thermo, western Greece, in the region of Oreini Trichonida. The village is located near the second highest peak of the Panaitoliko mountain range, Triantafyllia. Nearby villages include Amvrakia, Nerochori, Kokkinovrysi, and Kastania. The name Argyro Pigadi means Silver Well, a reference to the abundance of water in the region.
