Museum of Ancient Greek Technology
The Museum of Ancient Greek Technology is a museum in Katakolo, Elis, Greece. It was founded by Kostas Kotsanas and holds 200 operating reconstructions of mechanisms and inventions of the ancient Greeks covering the period from 2200 BC to 100 AD. It is approximately 500 meters from the pier.

Pheia (Elis)
Pheia was a small town and a port in Elis in the ancient country of Pisatis. It was built in a natural bay near today's Katakolo. It was destroyed in the 4th century. It was located on the isthmus connecting the cape of Katakolo with the mainland, near the river Iardanus. During the Peloponnesian War, the Athenians conquered the small town and used its ports as their base for military operations in Elis.

Prasino is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Iardanos, Elis, Greece. It is 2 km northwest of Agios Georgios, 3 km southeast of Vounargo and 5 km northwest of Pyrgos town centre. The community consists of the villages Prasino, Glykorizo and Keramidia. Its elevation is 70 m.

Alfeios
Alfeiós (Greek: Αλφειός, also romanized as Alpheus, Alpheios) is the longest river in the Peloponnese, in Greece. The river is 110 km long, flowing through the regional units of Arcadia and Elis. Its source is near the village Dorizas, about halfway between Tripoli and Megalopoli in the highlands of Arcadia. It flows southwest toward Megalopoli, where it has been diverted around open pit lignite mines. At Thoknia it receives its right tributary Elissonas, and continues north towards Karytaina.
