Lake Trichonida
Lake Trichonida is the largest natural lake in Greece. It is situated in the eastern part of Aetolia-Acarnania, southeast of the town Agrinio and northwest of Nafpaktos. It covers an area of 98.6 square kilometres with a maximum length of 19 kilometres and maximum depth of 58 metres . One million years ago the lake was much larger, and covered the central part of Aetolia-Acarnania, a part that is now a plain. The Panaitoliko mountains are situated to the north and northeast of the lake.

Lake Lysimachia
Lysimachia is a lake located west of Agrinio, Greece. The Acheloos river flows to the northwest with an artificial flow now to the east and an old natural flow near the lake. The area is 13.2 km², it is 17 km in length, its depth is around 9 m. East of the lake features another lake in the Great Aetolian Fields, the Trichonida which has an ecosystem. The lake offers a view of the city of Agrinio to the southeast.

Aitoliko Railway Station
Aitoliko Railway Station (Greek: Σιδηροδρομικός Σταθμός Αιτωλικού, Sidirodromikos Stathmos Etolikou) was a railway station in the town of Aitoliko in Aetolia-Acarnania, Greece, the station served two rail lines: Kryoneri–Agrinio railway, at km 26.890 from Kryoneri Limena. Aitoliko–Katochi railway, the starting point of the line The station took its name from the town that it served, and it was located east of the island which contains the town centre of Aitoliko.

Calydon
Calydon was an ancient Greek city in Aetolia, situated on the west bank of the river Evenus. According to Greek mythology, the city took its name from its founder Calydon, son of Aetolus. Close to the city stood Mount Zygos, the slopes of which provided the setting for the hunt of the Calydonian Boar. The city housed the important Aetolian sanctuary known as the Laphrion, dedicated to Artemis Laphria and Apollo Laphrios.

Dimokratias Square (Agrinio)
Dimokratias Square (Greek: Πλατεία Δημοκρατίας, Plateia Dimokratias, "Democracy Square") is the central square of the city of Agrinio. The square was created in 1879 when Michail Bellos (Μιχαήλ Μπέλλος) was mayor, and was long named Bellou Square (Πλατεία Μπέλλου) after him. On Good Friday 1944, the German occupation authorities hung Avraam Anastasiadis, Panos Soulos and Christos Salakos from the square's lamp-posts. Today, three roads leading to the square are named after them.
