Pineios (Peloponnese)

The Pineiós is a river in Peloponnese, Greece. It is probably not named after the god Peneus. Its source is on the southwestern slope of the mountain Erymanthus, near the village Kryovrysi. It empties into a bay of the Ionian Sea, southwest of Gastouni. For a part of its upper course, it forms the border between Elis and Achaea. The river flows through the plain of Elis.

Kavasila–Kyllini railway

The Kavasila–Kyllini railway (Greek: Σιδηροδρομική Γραμμή Καβασίλων - Κυλλήνης) was a meter gauge railway line of the Piraeus, Athens and Peloponnese Railways (SPAP) in Elis, Greece. It branched off the Patras–Olympia railway at the railway station of Kavasila. This 16 km long line served the port of Kyllini, from which ferries sail to Zakynthos island.

Ionian Village

Ionian Village is a private summer camp facility of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, located on the shores of the Ionian Sea, in western Peloponnese, Greece. Over 16,000 Greek-Americans have visited the camp since its establishment in 1969. Ionian Village operates a summer travel camp program for Greek-American youth.

Andravida Air Base

Andravida military airport is a military airport that is 2.5 kilometres away from the city center of Andravida. Construction began in the 1950s to expand the Greek military and military aviation services throughout the state. The cost of building the airport and some facilities were about $1,000,000 (10,000,000 drachmas) to $5,000,000. The length of the runway is 2 kilometres and the size is exactly 1². It is the longest airport in Ilia.

Chlemoutsi

Chlemoutsi (Greek: Χλεμούτσι or Χλουμούτσι) is a medieval castle in the northwest of the Elis regional unit, Greece, 12 km west of Andravida, 13 km southwest of Lechaina and 6 km south of Kyllini. It was built by the Crusader rulers of the Principality of Achaea as their main stronghold, and is perhaps the finest fortification of the early Frangokratia period preserved in Greece.
