Le Pâté

Le Pâté is an island in shape of high plateau in the archipelago of Îles des Saintes including the commune (municipality) of Terre-de-Bas. It is located at 900 m of the northern headland of Terre-de-Bas Island, called Pointe à Vache. It opens the Pain de Sucre Passage (Sugar loaf) which is the main shipping lane to access to the Bay of les Saintes by the North. The ascent of this island is very difficult, the swell and the Ocean currents are very violent and the winds very changeable.

The Îles des Saintes ("Islands of the Saints"), also known as Les Saintes, is a small archipelago of the French Antilles located to the south of Basse-Terre Island, west of Marie-Galante and north of Dominica. Les Augustins

Les Augustins is a small group of rocks in the archipelago of Îles des Saintes including the commune (municipality) of Terre-de-Bas. They are close of la Coche which they are separated by a passage called Passe des Souffleurs. It is a dangerous passage for sea navigation.
