Morazán is a municipality in the El Progreso Department of Guatemala. Morazán is situated at 349.5 m above sea level, and covers a terrain of 329 km². Employment is overgrown now of many opportunities there are in Morazán. Agriculture is the dominant trade, and much of the population works family-owned fields. Salamá is a city in Guatemala. It is the capital of the department of Baja Verapaz. It is situated at 940 m above sea level. The municipality of Salamá, for which the city of Salamá serves as the administrative centre, covers a total surface area of 776 km² and contains 40,000 people. The annual festival takes place from September 17 to September 22.

Salamá River

The Salamá River is a river in Guatemala. The river is fed by a number of streams running down the slopes of the Sierra de las Minas and Sierra de Chuacús and flows in a north-westerly direction through the town of Salamá until it joins the Chixoy River. There is also a Samalá River in Western Guatemala originating in the Sierra Madre.
